Education and Training
I graduated from the University of St Thomas in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science with a dual concentration of Marketing and Management.

My real education came from over 35 years of experience in the real world of Corporate America. I grew up in the Automotive Industry and the Car Business and after college almost immediately went into the technology sector. I'm very proud that I actually had products I sold, on the first space shuttle. The next 28 years were all focused on the rapidly evolving personal computer business, video and video gaming and finally the "Wild Wild West" of the e-commerce space. I worked for the Walt Disney Company, Twentieth Century Fox and one of the real pioneers in e-commerce, Digital River among others.

Personal Background

Born and raised in New Prague Mn., I've worked my entire life in sales or some aspect of satisfying my clients. I attended the University of St. Thomas and have worked in the high-tech sector of Corporate America for over 35 years around the globe. I'm married to my wife Jennifer for 40 years and we have two fantastic grown daughters, and two grand children, Lucy and Noah.  We've also adopted 2 dogs Domino and Gracie and a Horse named Ranier.  We spent 11 years living in Southern California working for the Walt Disney Companies and Twentieth Century Fox, what a fantastic opportunity for all of us that was. We came back to Minnesota for family, friends and a job opportunity with a small company called Digital River. This was the new frontier of e-commerce and what a crazy 10 year ride that turned out to be. Nine years ago I gave up on Corporate America and started my adventures in Real Estate. For the first time in over 2 decades, I was back working with the end consumer and able to make such an impact on people's lives I wish I'd done it sooner.  At the same time, I also decided it was time to give back to the community and joined two board of directors for the City Prior Lake,  Technology Village and the Lakes advisory committee, both appointed positions.

Community Involvement:

As with most of you, my early years we're focused on family and career. I've been active in our kid's schools and churches, but after I left corporate America and our kids were grown and gone, it was time to give back. I joined to two groups of board of directors, for the City of Prior Lake.

- I am a Board Member for the Scott County Center for Entrepreneurship and past board member of Prior Lake Mn. Technology Village Business Incubator/Accelerator program which was absorbed into the Scott County Program in 2021.  These programs were developed to nurture and support the growth of emerging technology-based businesses within Scott County and the City of Prior Lake, respectively. We accomplish this by creating an entrepreneurial environment that encourages collaboration, fosters job creation, and provides connections to local and regional resources.  It's very fulfilling to give back to the community, but what's even more rewarding is working with these budding entrepreneurs

- I am also a past member of the Prior Lake, Lakes Advisory Committee. The LAC members are appointed by the City Council and our responsibilities include making recommendations to the council on all matters of the lake, watershed or in anyway water related issues.
